DEWATERING TECHNOLOGY FOR FOOD WASTE Food waste is pre-treated in suitable stainless steel intake stations equipped with heavy duty macerators and then dewatered by a special centrifuges. Our DEHYDRA dewaterers reduce the volume of food waste by 80%, its mass by up to 60% and fermentability rate of the dewatered matters. By collecting ground and dewatered food waste we achieve the following environmental goals: less large vehicles on site and on the roads; less noises from collections, less requirements for pest control, less odours, less air pollution. The liquid freed by the dewaterer process is fed directly to drain as "grey water", a rapid biodegradable carbon source (rbCOD) for the removal of nitrogen and phosporous in the biological treatment of wastewater in municipal waste treatment plant (Cerificatereleased by SIMAU Department - Università Politecnica delle Marche -Italy). REWISER: THE ON SITE FOOD WASTE SOLUTION FOR HIGH RISING BUILDINGS REWISER is a model for the food waste management in residential high rising buildings whose first worlwide installation has been carried out in Ansan City,South Korea, last October 2017. The 5 years time project has been enginereed to collect food waste in 10 buildings of a new block of 634 apartments. A network of 2° generation food waste disposers, installed beneath the kitchen sink of each single apartment, is connected to a centralized collecting unit made up by a temporary storage tank + 1 or 2 high capacity dewaterers + a drier machine. All the food waste is now automatically processed, dewatered and dried on site (volume reduction up to 95%) and instead of heading for landfill disposal, the building ground area is benefitting with the very best qaulity of rich food waste fertilizer.
The implementation of these technologies on large scale required a B"B approach with Municipality, Multi-Utility companies and Real Estate Developpers.
